It’s rare that a 27-year-old mother of two gains the social media status to tarnish the reputation of an entire nation, but Sonja Abrahamsson managed it when she spoke as the voice of Sweden in her stint as a guest tweeter for the country.

Abrahamsson tweeted a series of tweets about Jews and homosexuals that others said were bigoted. One example from the woman whose blog nickname is “Hitler”: “Once I asked a co-worker what a jew is. He was ‘part jew,’ whatever that means. He’s like ‘uuuuh… jews are.. uh.. well educated..?’”

Then again, maybe Abrahamsson isn’t all that rare in Sweden. Past “Curators of Sweden” created online firestorms by publishing tweets about sex, breastfeeding and more. Sweden has set the Twitter bar so low that it is bound to fall even lower as childish tweeters try to outdo each other during their 15 minutes of infamy.
